The name – Myanmar was officially changed from Burma in 1989. After the Official Changed Name of the Country, the capital become Nay Pyi Daw.

There is also a fact to draw the conclusion – that Myanmar already had a good civilization with the same time with Babylonia and Mesopotamia, the world’s earliest civilizations. This fact is also recognized by the discovery of Bricks Ruins from Pyu Kingdom of Thayekhittaya ( Sri Ksetra), Beithano ( Vishnu) and Hanlin. And it gives the results they were from 4,000 B.C from examining those Bricks.

i. 1st Myanmar Empire was founded by Kind Anawyahtar in AD 1044.
ii. 2nd Myanmar Empire was founded by King Bayint Naung in AD 1287.
iii. 3rd Myanmar Empire was founded by King Alaung Phaya (1752) this empire lasted till 1886 when Myanmar become Colonial Country occupied by British.

Total land area is 676,577 sq-km. 581 miles from East to West 1,275 miles from North to South.
Geographically, Myanmar is surrounded by Sea (Andaman sea and Bay of Bengal), and Mountains. That is also the reason of being Safe from Natural disasters.
In this mythic land of Myanmar, Total over 56 millions of peoples with over 100 different national races live. These national races have various culture, religions and belief depending of the area they lived for years – passing generations by generations.
The main or major races are – Ka Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Bamar, Rakhine, Shan. Population of Bamar is about 70% of total population.

Climate
Myanmar has 3 seasons – Winter(November to February) , Summer (March to May) and Rainy (May to October) seasons. However, weather varies from region to region as country is large and having a lot of mountains and forest. Therefore, when lower and costal area of Myanmar is having heavy rain in Rainy season, the central and northern parts are having dry and pleasant weather.

Religion
Myanmar is a Traditionally a Country with more than 80 % of total population embracing Theravada Buddhism. Also – Christians, Muslims, Hindus and their religious building also exist in this free land.
Culture

Language
Official Language is Myanmar. English is reasonably spoken and understood.
CurrencyMyanmar currency is – Kyat. Shown or express in short form with “K”.One Kyat is equal to 100 pyas. Currency notes are in K.5,000. K 1,000. K500, K 200, K 100, K. 50, K 20, K 10, K. 5, and K. 1. Coils are also usable but hardly use.
Visitors are not allowed to bring in or take out Kyat currency from country.
Health (Vaccination Certificate)
Vaccination Certificate is not required unless coming from and infected area.
Foreign ExchangeVisitors may bring in any amount of foreign currency but it must be declared to the Customs if it exceeds US$ 2000.
F.E.C (Foreign Exchange Certificate) which is denominated FEC 1 is equal to US$ 1. FEC can be purchased with US Dollars, Sterling Pounds.
F.E.Cs are accepted by hotels, airlines, travel agencies, restaurants and as payment of admission fees to museums and pagodas.
Credit Cards, Travellers’ Check
No Credit Cards / ATM cards, Travellers’ Check are valid for use in Myanmar.
Visa RequirementValid passport and Entry Visa are required for all visitors to Myanmar. The Entry Visa to Myanmar should obtained in advance. Tourist visa can be applied at Myanmar Embassies or Consulates in abroad. Visa On Arrival Service
Whoever have not applied visa in their country, we can arrange for Visa On Arrival. For this case, we need Name, Father’s Name, Passport Number, Nationality, Occupation, Religious, home address, Flight in/out of Myanmar, scanned passport size photos (1 “ x 1 ”) sent by e-mail. For this procedure, the stated datas are needed at-least 30 working days prior to your arrival.
Visa on Arrival Fees and service charges will be stated in your invoice separately from your package our your tour/travel price.
Visa Validity
Visas are good for 3 months from issued date and valid for travel within Myanmar for 28 days. Therefore, whoever needed more than 28days to travel within Myanmar, should be arranged in advance before beginning the trip.
Visa extensions for another 14days can be arranged and obtained after arrived to Myanmar.
Airport taxAirport tax for International flight is USD or FEC 10. No Airport tax for Domestic Flights.
